You have not installed 8.1 Oreo, here is a wrong thread for your problem.

I downloaded 8.1 oreo from link here and installed same way I installed v2ff and it red light bricked device.

I installed the 8.1 Oreo from the link usb flash went through process with out any errors but now light stays red won't do anything.
