I recently downloaded the Crossy Road game on my TV. There is a problem with it. I cannot play the game even it works. it takes no input (via remote or keyboard or smartphone). How to solve this problem

from actual install of this game on androidTV...
Connect a gamepad
You can install this game now, but it won't be playable without a gamepad.

I installed it on mine and it worked with the remote. Very nicely actually same with PacMan 256 (I think they were made by the same guy). They don't work with gamepads. At least not mine.

I have the following inputs:
Yes - remote
Yes - keyboard
No - GameMon Gamepad
No - Logitech Dual Action Gamepad

I am using a x96 Mini with atvXperience v4.2.1

And one question, on the remote, if you hit the home button [🏠] does it exit the game?

Just to rule out power supply issues, which I think I am getting, turn off the WiFi and connect it to ethernet. Unplug all non-essential USB devices.
