D905 (S905???) android box issue

hi all

i am trying ti install the S905X image on the D905 Android box but i am getting some error in the usb burning tool:

CheckFileRunState failed
[0x10303004]Romcode/Switch status/Identify/Error result

image name is 1. atvX v5 Multi Wi-Fi (RTL _ BCM) [RID-01.905X.NC.AX.V05.BETA1

any help is appreciated

Firmware is not compatible with CPU used in your TV box (S905M-B), check for more in this thread on 4PDA.

maybe i can give it a shot and have a porting image for these model.

That shouldn't be a problem. Bootloader sources for the s905m are available. Mali driver + dtb also have to be compiled.

I couldnt find any stock rom for the s905m. Is there away i can dump the firmware from the box and use the amalogic cust tools to edit the image?

Yes you can. But it takes a lot of effort to create a working installation image afterwards. It is easier to port ATV9.
