T96 pro re rooting

I had rooted my T96 pro without problems several years ago ( I now forgot how ). I thought that rooting was keeping my box from upgrading to nougat but found out that it couldn't go past marshmallow. I had unrooted as per Google post ( picture attached) by manually deleting 3 files.
Now I'm trying to re root it but no rooting apps worked. Any ideas? TIA

Still hoping to find a less aggressive way before trying re installing firmware. If any one else has an idea please suggest.

I just found out that I need the one with cpu aarch64 but I cannot find it.. any help please?

What's you up to ?
Amlogic cpu's from S905 onwards are of 64-bit architecture, but software wise work in 32-bit mode.

Boq I can't get it to install firmware you gave me and kodi krypton said my hardware was aarch64... now kodi nexus saying amlogic.... I cannot solve this rooting problem I have. I'm going to leave it as it is... have some google play, YouTube and rooting problems otherwise ok.
